What is mantra?

Mantra is use of specific sound to change the consciousness of mind and chemistry of the brain. Mantras, like words, have a meaning. Each sound is a formula, causing the tongue to strike specific points in the mouth. These points trigger response in the brain. Some mantras are used silently. In this case, it is a mental focus for the mind.

Sikh religion and kundalini yoga

The Sikh religion and kundalini yoga share some similarities in terms of their spiritual beliefs and practices. Both emphasise the importance of spiritual awakening and the liberation of the individual soul. Both also place a strong emphasis on meditation and the use of mantra as a means of achieving this goal.

However, it is important to note that the Sikh religion is a distinct faith with its owen beliefs, practices, and teachings, while kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that is commonly associated with the Hindu and Sikh spiritual traditions. Kundalini yoga focuses on awakening the dormant energy at the base of the spine, called kundalini, through specific postures, breath control, and meditation practices.

In summary, while there are some similarities between the Sikh religion and kundalini yoga, they are separate and distinct spiritual paths, each with its own unique set of beliefs, practices, and teachings.
